Laminate Floor Cleaner - Do You Know Which Cleaner Is A Good Choice For Laminate Flooring Surface To Keep It Looking Great

Having laminate flooring in the house is getting more and more popular. It is easy to keep up and gives you the look of real wood without the real wood price. But to get the value out of your floor coverings you have to retain its appearance and maintain it properly cleaned. Here are the best and worst items which you can use as a laminate floor cleaner on your flooring.

Many people use the brush accessories on their vacuum cleaner to clean these surfaces. It works properly as long as you don't try to use one that doesn't have bristles. This may actually slide the dirt across the surface area and scratch the finish.

Possibly the best, and most popular method, for maintaining the look of and cleaning laminate flooring is by using a simple solution of vinegar and water. A little distilled white vinegar in a little water and you are all set. If you have a spray bottle to put it in that would be the right scenario.

Then all you do is spray the floor, go over it with a clean cloth and what little moisture is left behind ought to immediately evaporate leaving a fresh, clear surface area without any streaks. Using one of those Swiffer type cleaners that allow you to replace out the cloth with your own concoction would be a good combination.

Never use a lot of water or other cleaning liquids to clean these floors. You will never be able to get up all of the liquid before it drains down into the flooring surfaces. Many times you won't realize that you have missed any until you spot the damage to the surface, and by then it is too late. For this reason a spray bottle is a useful one and only doing a small area of the floor at a time so you can get all of the water/vinegar back up swiftly.

One thing which you would like to shy away from is using waxes and polishes. These are not really made for laminate flooring and the excessive liquid may cause a lot of damage. Liquid may slide in between the littlest of crevices before you realize it and the moisture will soak up into the material causing it to warp and swell.

If you not care for the smell of vinegar then there is one more source as a laminate floor cleaner. The cloth cleaners found in shops will do the trick and guard the floor. For spills, you may have to do a little scrubbing with a clean soft cloth.
